The start of a tradition — one Monster Hunter monster, stitched for my husband, every year. Mizutsune was year one.
Mizutsune is a Leviathan that debuted in Monster Hunter Generations (2015) and has been a fan favorite ever since. Its name plays on mizu (water) and kitsune (fox), and the design fits — fox-like, graceful, with a flowing combat style and signature iridescent bubbles that leave hunters slipping all over the arena. One of the most elegant monsters in the franchise.
The pattern is based on Mizutsune’s in-game icon — the stylized silhouette Capcom uses to mark monsters on the menu. Framed in chunky weathered wood, which felt right for something that looks like it belongs on the wall of the Hunter’s Guild.
