Seasonal Bookmark

Seasonal Bookmark by Tiny Modernist — the class project from The Jingle Ball 2023, Lindy Stitches’ annual flosstube holiday stitching retreat. The chart was a class-exclusive — at the time of finishing it had not been released for public sale (Tiny Modernist later noted it may release in 2025).

The bookmark runs as a long vertical strip carrying the viewer through all of the seasons in a single piece — a tidy literal use of the “seasonal” name:

• Autumn / Halloween: a small black cat silhouette under a crescent moon and scattered stars, paired with a fat orange pumpkin sitting in green leaves.
• Winter / Christmas: a dark cottage with brightly-lit yellow window panes glowing against the snow, a white snowman with a tiny carrot nose standing beside it, with small blue snowflakes scattered around.
• Spring / Summer: a bright multi-colour wildflower bouquet — red, blue, yellow, and purple flowers on green stems — closing out the bookmark.

Stitched 1-over-1 on a pale blue-white evenweave (don’t remember the exact count/maker — fine count, single-strand stitches over a single intersection so the finished piece reads at almost photo-resolution scale), DMC floss throughout for the colour palette.

Started November 25, 2023. Finished and FFO’d December 6, 2023 — twelve-day turnaround from start to fully-finished bookmark, using Tiny Modernist’s own bookmark finishing tutorial for the backing, fusible interfacing, and edge whipstitch.
