Gryffindor Name Tag (Married Name)

The married-name version of the Gryffindor Crest Name Tag — same chart, same 1-over-1 working, restitched from scratch with Tasha Taylor in the banner instead of my maiden name. The maiden-name original was stitched in 2019 but never finished into a wearable tag; after the name change I picked the chart back up and re-stitched the whole thing so the new name could actually be worn at guild events.

Stitched 1-over-1 on 32ct Easy Count White Lugana — the easy-count grid makes finding placement on every single intersection much easier than counting threads at that scale, which matters when every stitch is half-size. DMC floss throughout.

FFO’d same-day as the last stitch on June 8, 2025:

• Twisted-cord trim around the perimeter, two strands twisted together — DMC 816 (deep burgundy red) and DMC 3852 (rich light gold). Same two colours run through the whole finish.
• Backing fabric: a black cotton printed with gold Deathly Hallows symbols — Hogwarts-coded without being Gryffindor-coded a second time.
• Foam interfacing between front and back to give the tag a soft padded body.
• Lobster clasp + jump rings at the top so the tag can detach from the lanyard.
• Lanyard: a longer length of the same red-and-gold twisted cord, looped to wear over the neck.

Started May 27, 2025. Finished and FFO’d June 8, 2025 — about two weeks of stitching, finished same-day.
